Do you belong to a group that would like to take part in a walk in the Wolds with Bill and me, accompanied by your own canine companions?
If so, I would be really pleased to talk to you about arranging this.
I am happy to suggest walks of varying lengths and routes depending on your group's ability and location. I can do any day of the week and can also do evening walks throughout the longer days.
I always throw in a bit of local history and walk at a gentle pace to suit everyone. I can also build in a price for lunch (or supper) at a suitable dog-friendly location if you would like me to.
Your group can choose any of the walks detailed on our Choose a Walk page or we can explore linking one or more of them together to create a longer walk.
Dogs are always very welcome and Bill will always accompany me, but owners must be sure that their dogs are well socialised and can walk on and off lead. I can also provide leaflets on responsible dog ownership.
I am also pleased to discuss more accessible walks that would suit people with some mobility difficulties.
Lunch can be pre-arranged at one of our dog-friendly partners in the Wolds or walkers can bring their own packed lunches.
All walkers must be equipped to walk in the countryside with suitable footwear and clothing. I always under take a risk assessment prior to any walk and share this with the group. I also have public liability insurance.
Groups should be a minimum of 10 people and maximum of 30 people, with no more than one dog per person, please.
2-6 miles (2-4 hours) - £20 per person
7-9 miles (4-6 hours) - £30 per person
10-14 miles (6-8 hours) - £40 per person
Carers go FREE!
Lunch, if included, will be extra, and venues will depend on the walk that your group wish to do. (not all walks will have suitable venues on route)

In 2023, having failed to not get older each year, I was keen to improve my health and wellbeing by exploring, at a leisurely pace, the beautiful hills and dales of the Yorkshire Wolds, where I live with Bill, of course, and some others!
We, that is Bill and I (if he can be persuaded), would love to talk to your group about how we created 'Walking the Wolds' and found new Friends, Members and Partners across East Yorkshire with whom to share our adventures.
We will also include how not 'to come a cropper', a little bit of history, where to find the best tea and cake, dog friendly treats, and what's happening next!
We are happy to travel anywhere within East Yorkshire for the set fee, and other places (which is then charged at the appropriate mileage cost plus the fee).
We are happy to talk to all sorts of groups including Church groups, WI's, U3A's, Rotaries, etc and if you would like me to bring Bill along I can, as long as your guests know that he is coming and they are all happy to be in the same room as a dog. He can, though, stay at home.
We can do the talks at any pre-arranged time. When you contact me please have a selection of dates in mind so that I can check my diary.
We are very pleased for you to use our talks as fundraisers for your organisation
Our talk lasts between 45 minutes and an hour after which we can break for refreshments and then have 1/2 an hour of questions after the break.
I am happy to talk to any sized group!
I will need either a projector and screen plus a laptop (or a TV with a USB socket) - I will bring a presentation (which is mainly lovely images) on a memory stick. I do not necessarily need a microphone (I have a loud voice!) but I am happy to use one.
My usual fee is £50 for the talk for charities plus any additional mileage for out of East Yorkshire.
