We will open up bookings to all of our events as we go through the year. You can download our full programme in advance here. All our events are inclusive packages, with a set price. When booking you are agreeing to pay the full price for the event even if you may not wish to do all that we have on offer.
Bookings and full payment should be made at least one week in advance to secure your place. Refunds will only be made at least one week in advance of the event, unless we cancel the event. Events are a set price and are inclusive of the details shown.
Starting and ending in Millington, this fabulous 5.7-mile route explores Given Dale up to the tiny St Ethelburga's Church, then travels along the Chalkland Way before some quiet roads back to the Gait Inn for a slap up two-course Sunday Lunch.

This walk was too good to miss so we’ve now rescheduled it for later in the summer when hopefully the temperatures have cooled a bit. This lovely 6-mile walk starts from Meltonby, near The Mile in Pocklington, to walk up to Great Givendale via the Chalkland Way and then onto Bishop Wilton, where we can stop for extra tea and cakes at the lovely Community Shop there, before heading back to the Mile, Pocklington via Bishop Wilton Beck.

1pm - Saturday 13th September - This year's mini-festival kicks off with a fabulous 4.3-mile walk around the medieval deserted village of Wharram Percy, prehistoric earthworks in Deep Dale and a section of the Malton and Driffield Railway which closed in 1958. This is followed by a pie and pea supper & first drink at Seaways Café in Fridaythorpe (5pm) and a fascinating talk about Deserted Medieval Villages of Yorkshire by local historian Marcus Ramshaw (6.30pm).

10am - Sunday 14th September - The second day of our Festival starts and ends in Kirby Grindalythe. After a breakfast of bacon rolls (or vegetarian alternative) and a hot or cold drink, we will explore a 5.3-mile route that encounters the magical Gypsy Race stream as well as the medieval deserted village of Mowthorpe, before heading back to St Andrews Church, one of Sykes' Churches. for a talk by Louise Hampson, local historian, plus tea and cake (of course!)
